Processes

Who owns it, how it runs, and whether it’s still true.

A process in Meridi is one record: its owner, its steps and systems, and the documents behind it. Its review status shows whether a person has verified it, and moves to Needs review when something it depends on changes.

5 processes free. No credit card. Includes 1,000 AI credits for your first 30 days.

Inside the tool

Illustrative example. Harborline is a sample workspace; its people are fictional.

Inside the tool

  1. Owner

The person accountable for the process. Without one, it shows Missing owner.

  2. Steps

Each step in order: who does it, how long it takes, its systems and decision points.

  3. Connections

People and their responsibilities, systems, and the processes upstream and downstream.

  4. Knowledge

Its SOPs, and the sources and evidence behind it.

  5. Review status

When it was last verified and what could make it stale.

What the review statuses mean.

Meridi flags recorded changes and overdue reviews. Someone with edit access checks the process before marking it Verified.

Verified

A person confirmed this is how the work happens.

Someone with edit access confirms it runs the way it’s written. Their name and the time are recorded.

Needs review

Something changed, or it hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Its steps, owner, systems or documents change, including a change someone applies from Meridi AI.

Stale

It's past its review date.

Each verification sets the next review 90 days out. When that date passes, it shows Stale.

Missing owner

It has no owner yet, so it can’t be confirmed.

No owner is set on the process. Assign one, and it can be verified.

What you can do.

  • Map how the work runs

Record who does each step, how long it takes, the systems it needs and where decisions happen. Or review the steps Jumpstart suggests from your documents.

  • Have a person verify it

Someone with edit access checks that the process matches how work runs today. Verification records their name and the date. Meridi AI can suggest changes, but can’t verify the work.

  • See what changed

Edits to the steps, owner or systems, and new or changed documents, move a verified process to Needs review and log a change signal. Process Home lists the processes that need attention.

  • Review on a schedule

Each verification sets the next review date, 90 days out. If it passes before someone verifies the process again, the process shows Stale.

  • Plan the next version

Write the target state beside today’s, or ask Meridi AI to draft it for your approval. When the change happens, adopt it as the current state, and the process waits in Needs review until someone verifies it again.

  • Keep the related work connected

Record who is responsible, accountable, consulted and informed, and link its systems, documents, SOPs, pain points and the processes upstream and downstream.
